In response to the current global climate change, the widening gap between the rich and the poor, and the numerous natural and man-made disasters, the Master Program in Sustainability and Disaster Management integrates Tzu Chi University's teaching and research excellence in a number of specialized fields, and draws on the Tzu Chi Foundation's rich experience in disaster assistance around the world, with the aim of providing a multidisciplinary, integrated, and forward-thinking learning platform for exploring the way of sustainable development and resilient societies for the future of mankind. The program aims to provide an interdisciplinary, integrated and forward-thinking learning platform to explore the future of sustainable human development and a resilient society.

The program covers a wide range of key areas including net zero carbon emissions, sustainable design, green building, social cohesion economy, resilient communities, use of technology and media, disaster geography, disaster prevention education, post-disaster social work, disaster planning, disaster psychology, and disaster prevention and sanitation, as well as internships in Tzu-Chi's system both at home and abroad. Whether your academic background is in the arts or the sciences, we welcome students from all walks of life to participate in this program and work together to explore solutions to global challenges.
